Rebecca Pinto - Education School President
- Experienced academic and welfare representative
- Strong communicator between students and staff
Why vote for Rebecca?
I am running for Education School President because I care about improving the student experience and am committed to making sure everyone is valued and respected.
My experience working as a Peer Leader, Student Ambassador and Welfare Secretary for the Education Society has prepared me for this role as I have established good relationships with both staff and students and gained a valuable insight into how the School of Education works. In my role as Course Rep this year, I have consistently championed change after listening to feedback from students and working collaboratively with staff to deliver meaningful improvements.
If elected as President, I will ensure communication between students and staff are strengthened to ensure that your voices are heard, and you get the most out of your studies. I want to improve the current feedback loop so that feedback is consistently being received and considered throughout the year to ensure that changes are made to positively affect your experience.
I will be a friendly, approachable, and proactive President who represents all students and their needs with confidence. I will always be open for a chat, I will listen to all concerns, big or small, and will be a visible presence throughout the year.
One of my main goals is to encourage more students from all year groups to take part in events throughout the year, as these offer valuable opportunities to share experiences, ask questions, and connect with others who have similar interests.
