Why vote for Priyansh?

I’m running for Business School President because I’ve already spent the past few years representing students, and I want to take that further in a role where I can have a broader impact.

As a Course Representative for BSc Finance and a member of the Students’ Union Student Council, I’ve worked directly with both students and faculty alongside other institutions to raise issues, challenge decisions, and push for improvements to the stdent experience that is on offer at the University of Southampton. That’s given me a clear understanding of how the system actually works—where things move quickly, where they don’t, and how to get things done within it.

More importantly, it’s taught me how to listen properly. Not just hearing complaints, but understanding what actually needs to change and how to communicate that in a way that leads to action.

I think one of the biggest gaps in the Business School experience is the disconnect between students and decision-making. If elected, I want to focus on making that process more transparent, improving communication, and ensuring that feedback doesn’t just get collected—it gets acted on.

To reassure you, I’m not running on vague promises. I’m running because I’ve already been doing the job at a smaller scale, and I know how to turn student concerns into real outcomes.
