Why vote for Bhavika?
I am seeking re-election as PGR Officer to continue the work I have begun and to further strengthen the postgraduate research community. Serving in this role has been both rewarding and motivating, and I am proud of the progress made so far. However, I believe there is still more to achieve, and I am committed to building on this momentum.
During my current term, I have worked to represent the voices of postgraduate researchers and advocate for their needs within the institution. I have focused on improving communication, ensuring that concerns are heard, and helping to foster a more inclusive and supportive environment for all PGR students.
One of my key ongoing initiatives is the development of a conference for the Faculty of Arts and Humanities (FAH). This event aims to create a platform for PGRs to showcase their research, connect with peers, and engage in meaningful academic dialogue. I am dedicated to seeing this project through and ensuring it delivers lasting value to our community.
If re-elected, I will continue to prioritise representation, wellbeing, and professional development opportunities for PGR students. I want to expand networking opportunities, improve access to resources, and strengthen collaboration across departments.
My experience in this role has given me a clear understanding of the challenges PGRs face, as well as the knowledge and relationships needed to address them effectively. I am passionate about supporting my peers and ensuring that every postgraduate researcher feels valued, heard, and empowered.
