Tilly Healing-Perry - English Department President

As English Society President the last year, I have learnt so much about myself and the department at large, working closely with the department for our events. It has been a great honour to be able to work closely like this, and I would love the opportunity to do it again this time as English Department President. I'm a joint honours student and I would like to make being a joint honours student not only more accessible but also more appealing to perspective students. I want to ensure modules are more accessible as that seemed to be a big issue this year, make sure modules are clearly marked with their assignments (so there are no surprising group projects!), and work closely with other departments to ensure everyone feels overall supported and listened to. (Someone nominated me for this so hey, at least they think I'm a good listener and can get things done!)
