Why vote for Enda?
I am standing for Student Councillor because the role should be about scrutiny and nothing else
As an Economics and Philosophy student, I spend a lot of time testing arguments, reading policy claims carefully, and asking whether the conclusion actually follows. That is the mindset I would bring to Council: read the papers, check what has been promised, and ask direct questions when something is unclear.
Alongside university, I work as a project manager for a start up scientific health company where I coordinate people, track deadlines, review written and design work, and push tasks over the line. I also captain a university hockey team, so I know what it means to speak for a group, deal with different views, and still make decisions.
If elected, I would focus on making SU decisions easier for students to follow. That means clearer updates, less vague language, and proper follow-up when Sabbatical Officers make commitments. I would not treat Council as a title to put on a CV. I would turn up prepared, ask useful questions, and keep the focus on whether students are actually being represented.
