Why vote for Iris?
I am standing for Music Department President because I want to help make our department a more supportive and enjoyable place for everyone. Having served as Arts and Humanities Faculty Officer in my first year, I already have a good understanding of how the University works and how to get things done. I know who to speak to, how meetings operate, and how to turn ideas into real outcomes. I would be ready to contribute from the start.
If elected, I would focus on three things:
-
Better communication – making sure students know what is happening in the department and how to share their views.
-
A stronger community – organising casual social events and performance opportunities that bring students together across year groups and musical interests.
-
A clear student voice – representing Music students in faculty discussions and making sure our needs are heard when decisions are made.
I care about this department and the people in it. I would work hard to be approachable, reliable, and responsive to your concerns. I hope to earn your vote and to help build a Music Department that feels welcoming and well represented.
