Why vote for Al?
Hi everyone! I'm a third year student who has been a course rep for the past two years. During my time representing the cohort, I have grown to love the process of taking their feedback and working toward solutions to make our uni experience even better.
I hope to use my experience as a course rep to ensure that student voices remain a key factor in the design and delivery of the course. I strongly believe that communication and feedback are both vital in creating a sense of pride and involvement in one’s learning, which will eventually lead to students producing their best work. Furthermore, my position as a third-year student gives me perspective on both module delivery and dissertation guidance. I hope to use this perspective to maintain adequate support for students whilst also pushing them to gain the most out of their time at uni.
I have a good relationship with many of the department staff and will be very comfortable being the point of contact between themselves and the students. I like to think I’m quite an approachable person and, were I to be elected, I would love to be able to help you in whatever way I can :)
