Anna Bonadio - Arts and Media Technology Department President

I’m running for Department President because I want to make sure students across Art & Media Technology feel heard and properly represented throughout their time at university.

I have 2 years of previous experience as a Student Representative for Games Design & Art, where I listened to students’ feedback, communicated with university staff and helped represent the student experience at open days and other events. After returning from a year-long placement in the games industry, I also have a fresh perspective on how our university experience can prepare us for life beyond graduation.

If elected, I want to be an approachable and reliable point of contact for students across the department. I will seek feedback on academic experiences and concerns, make sure those views are brought to Staff Student Liaison Committees and relevant meetings, and clearly communicate updates and outcomes back to students.

I also want to encourage stronger collaboration between courses and year groups, and help make sure students are aware of opportunities to have their voices heard through university-wide initiatives and consultations.

Most importantly, I want students to feel that their feedback is listened to and acted upon where possible. I won’t promise that every issue can be solved, but I will promise to listen, communicate openly and represent our department to the best of my ability.
