Why vote for Aaryen?
I am running for Physics School President because I want to make sure the views and experiences of Physics students are properly represented, and that feedback leads to meaningful action.
As Vice School Captain, I sat in on Governor meetings, where I highlighted issues and concerns raised by students. This taught me that good representation isn’t simply about having my own opinions, but listening to others, identifying the issues that matter and communicating them effectively to decision-makers. I would bring the same approach to representing Physics students within the University.
My role as Vice School Captain also involved helping organise our Community Carnival, a large-scale event involving around 5,000 people and over 30 stalls. This gave me experience coordinating people, working collaboratively and turning ideas into events that bring a community together. I’d bring the same enthusiasm to strengthening the Physics community and supporting opportunities for students to get involved outside their academic work.
I also want to make accessing academic support and resources easier. Important content should be something you can find instantly! I’d work with students and staff to make resources and key information more obvious and accessible.
Ultimately, I want to be an approachable and active representative: someone who listens, pushes for change and keeps you informed. And, obviously, I’ll make sure there are biscuits along the way.
Vote for me for Physics School President.
