Afrodynamix Dance Society

Creative Industries

Afrodynamix Dance society is the new vibrant dance society which teaches African, Caribbean and Street dance styles collectively.

Go back to your roots or learn something new by experiencing the excitement of moving your hips, letting your body flow to the rhythm of the African drum, whining to the carnival call of the Caribbean and popin' droppin' and lockin' it to that smooth hip hop beat.

We welcome anyone of any background with a passion to dance and the enthusiasm to learn from some of our most dedicated and driven teachers.

Come and join us and help us to "GIVE IT TO THEMMMM! ♫" .

Sinfonietta

Performing Arts

The University of Southampton Sinfonietta (Sinf) is the university's only chamber music ensemble that allows members to experience working with a different professional conductor each term. Run entirely by students, it has quickly developed an outstanding reputation for performing high quality music that covers a wide range of repertoire, and collaborating with musicians from the Royal College of Music, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, and London Philharmonic Orchestra. The orchestra is made up of some of the university's most talented musicians who work with the professional conductor Jonathan Lo, who is the overseeing musical director of the orchestra. Performing a minimum of three concerts a year within the first four weeks of each term, Sinfonietta produces music of the highest possible standard following intensive rehearsal periods.
