We are a society dedicated to the appreciation of alternative and indie music. Our biweekly event 'Hang the DJ' allows members to broaden and nurse their music taste; while entertaining others at the venue with their own set. We organise gig trips and socials to clubs that promote themselves as featuring alternative or indie music. It's a great society to meet people who like similar music to you and finding gig buddies as Southampton has a great live music scene.

Despite our namesake, AIM is about providing good times and community to those that lean to all things alternative (music, films, book, etc). Our society runs DJ nights with local venues in Southampton and outings to gigs. We aim to be a lowkey and casual society where conversation is the main focus, it's all about discussing and broadening our own tastes while also helping expand others.
