Olympic Weightlifting

Weightlifting is a fantastic way to improve your overall athleticism and strength. Whether you are interested in competing, want to improve your performance in another sport or just try something new, come along to a session ! We train at the Wide Lane Gym and once a week at Lakeside Weightlifting Club with a professional coach. SUWLC welcomes all abilities with various training programmes to cater for any experience level, even if that means no experience at all. With professional coaching available and opportunities to compete at BUCS or other competitions beginner-friendly competitions, Olympic Weightlifting is a great sport if you're looking to try something new. Our club maintains a fun and encouraging atmosphere during trainings, all whilst staying safe. The socials are relaxed, friendly and always organised to keep everyone included !

Our current training sessions are Mondays 7pm-9pm and Saturdays 10:30am-12:30pm at Wide Lane Gym and Wednesdays 4pm - 6pm at Lakeside Weightlifting club.
