RoboSoc
RoboSoc is a space to build robots and collaborate with others, open to anyone interested - no prior experience required! Join us for hands-on hardware, electronics, and programming, and to meet other DIY enthusiasts.
We meet regularly in the Boldrewood Design Studio to hang out, design and build robots!
All skill levels are welcome, including those with no previous experience. The best way to learn is to get involved, in a supportive environment where other members can help out.
All RoboSoc members have use of our tools and materials. There are some some ongoing projects to get involved with and we're also happy to talk about supporting new and novel ones! Previous projects include: small autonomous rovers, robotic limbs, and an automatic electromagnet chess board.
Regular meet-ups are held on Mondays and Thursdays at 6:15pm in the Boldrewood Design Studio (B177/3011).

The Committee
All clubs and societies within the Students' Union are run entirely by students. The student committee for RoboSoc this year are:
President
- Oversee the organisation and management of the group, and represent the group to all external interest.
Treasurer
- Oversee the financing of the society (including finding sponsorship), set the society's budget(s), and maintain the accounts of the society.
Welfare Officer
- Help People.
Membership Information
These are the current membership fees offered by RoboSoc, although many clubs and societies offer a free period for new members to try out their activities.
