Symphonic Wind Orchestra

Creative Industries

SUSWO, originally founded by woodwind and brass players at the university, performs a varied and challenging repertoire to a high standard.

The orchestra gives a wide range of musicians from across the university the chance to perform in a friendly and talented ensemble. Today the orchestra has approximately fifty members and aims to perform three concerts a year.

Members are auditioned at the start of the academic year and the orchestra is run by a committee of students who work closely with conductors to select a challenging and enjoyable repertoire.

Membership Information

These are the current membership plans offered by Symphonic Wind Orchestra, although many groups offer a free period for new members to try out their group.
