This is an award given to an individual who, in their first year in university, has contributed an exceptional amount to every aspect of club life. Successful nominations should demonstrate how they have achieved this and what contribution they have had. Within your nomination, please make sure you tell us: - What they have contributed to the club, and how is this exceptional? - What roles they have taken on within the club? - Anything else that has helped this individual stand out? Where possible, please provide supporting evidence in the form of photos, videos, or feedback from other club members.
This is awarded for an outstanding contribution to student sport at the University. The award will be given to a committee member/member who has gone far beyond what has been asked of them within their role as a student volunteer. Successful nominations should demonstrate how they have achieved this and what contribution they have had. Within your nomination, please make sure you tell us: - What have they contributed to student sport, and what makes this outstanding? - What examples can you give of where they have gone far beyond what has been asked of them? Where possible, please provide supporting evidence in the form of photos, videos, or feedback from others.
This award, chosen by the team at Southampton Sport, goes to the team or individual that has organised, innovated, and excelled in their sport and, through doing so, has raised the profile of both their sport and the University of Southampton
This award is given to the team that has made the biggest improvement since the beginning of the current sporting year. It is there to realise the effort and work that must be put in to enable success at any level. Team performance is considered within this, and their standing now compared to the beginning of the current sporting year
This award is given to the team which has been outstanding in uplifting the profile of sport at Southampton University. This award is often associated with being awarded to the team who has been most successful at the highest level of university sport during the season. It is a great honour to receive this accolade and recognises the whole team in its success.
The Sports Person award is presented to an individual who has shown a very high standard of skill in their sport, together with a large contribution to the club and/or sport at the University. The award is given to the individual who has managed to balance sporting excellence with furthering sport at Southampton. Successful nominations should demonstrate how the individual has achieved this. Within your nomination, please make sure you tell us: - Examples of where they have shown a very high standard of skill in their sport. - Examples of where they have largely contributed to the club and/or sport at the University. Where possible, please provide supporting evidence in the form of photos, videos, or feedback from others.
An award that recognises and celebrates a team or individual that has made an outstanding contribution to supporting and promoting equality and diversity, as well as fostering inclusion. Successful nominations should demonstrate how the team or individual has worked to raise awareness of specific issues, how they have made their club or sport more accessible or how they have supported their peers to help them feel more included or empowered. You may like to recognise a team or individual for the following; • Evidence of encouraging inclusive participation and eliminating discrimination • Development and implementation of inclusive practices, programs or initiatives that lead to greater support, access, representation, participation or sense of belonging for peers. • Commitment to the values of equality, diversity, and inclusion beyond the expectations of their role or remit • Examples of innovation in response to an equality and diversity issue • Evidence of respect to other members of the Team Southampton community • Collaborative approach to improving EDI in clubs. • Example’s of breaking down barriers to ensure inclusion. An award to highlight Clubs and volunteers' social impact projects, anything from working in the local community, running a charity fundraiser or starting a social enterprise has strived to have an impact outside of the University and within the wider community. Within your nomination, please make sure you tell us*: • What activity has been undertaken by the Club/Volunteer? • What were the aims, objectives and outcomes of the activity? • How many people benefited from the activity? • If a fundraiser, how much did you raise and for whom?
This award is presented to an individual who has excelled at an international standard or equivalent in their sport. This award highlights the sporting achievement of an exceptional student. Successful nominations should demonstrate how the individual or club has achieved this. Within your nomination, please make sure you tell us: - What sport has this individual excelled in? - What separates this individual from others? Where possible, please provide supporting evidence in the form of photos, videos, or feedback from others.

This award is given to the IM team which has been outstanding in uplifting the profile of sport at Southampton University. This award is often associated with being awarded to the team who has been most successful as a IM Team in all aspects of club life. It is a great honour to receive this accolade and recognises the whole team in its success.
