Are you passionate about creating unforgettable student experiences? Are you an admin whiz who loves bringing order to the chaos of event planning? We’re looking for a proactive, engaging, and detail-driven Events Assistant to join our Events team!
The Event Assistant will support the planning, coordination, and delivery of a diverse range of student events and activities. The role is central to ensuring all event-related administration runs smoothly, from updating event documentation and ticket sales tracking to managing stock, creating promotional content, and managing supplier relationships. Additionally, the role includes running craft-based events, facilitating trips, and promoting events across various university sites and channels.
This role is fixed term until 30 June 2025. Minimum 5 hours per week during term time with additional hours during busy periods.
About You
The ideal candidate would be pro-active, interested in events and student engagement, and willing to support in any areas of events, as and when required.

Strong organisational and multitasking skills, ideally within event administration.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Ability to liaise with stakeholders of all levels, internally and externally.

Ability to use initiative when it comes to managing workload, and when coming across live issues at events.

Friendly and confident demeanour, allowing you to build quality relationships with students.

Ability to manage inventory on a regular basis.

Enthusiastic about promoting student engagement and community building.
