Does SUSU have a plan to encourage and enable students to vote in the event of an october general election?

If a general election is to take place in October, as may be likely, many students will have just moved and may not have registered to vote at their new addresses, and university hall addresses are usually told to students at quite a late point. Also, many students may not have voted before; this, alongside the voter ID laws, can make the process of registering and voting confusing. Does SUSU have a plan to encourage voting and provide support for students trying to navigate this for the first time?

Thank you for your submission!
With the General Election looming, SUSU is working with the Public Affairs team at the University to prepare. We are looking to launch a campaign to get students registered to vote, whilst also lobbying the University to start an auto-registration system when students enroll for their year (with the option to not if the student chooses so). When the election is called, we will run hustings for students to attend and hopefully loop in the relevant societies to boost engagement.
As always, any further ideas for student involvement or general for the General Election campaign are encouraged, so please send them my way!
