I'm really keen to see how these votes went down...usually the turnaround is much faster in my experience.

Hi,
Thanks for submitting this YMC. Since neither vote reached quoracy due to the time of year, we don't have the voting breakdown, however both are still being worked on. I am part of the wider Academic Calendar Review at the university where we are looking at several options for the re-distribution of weeks in the academic year, and many options have a break between semester 1 and semester 2. The university also recently have a new Director of Finance, who led divestment at their previous 2 institutions, so the President will continue lobbying for this.
If you have any further questions please email vpeddem@soton.ac.uk.
Kind regards,
Rebecca (she/her)

I'm amazed that neither reached quoracy. The turnouts for votes have been woefully low recently (something I've noticed since I joined back in September 2020), even if they were marginally better this year than previous years. It might be worth doing some student consultations sooner rather than later because the optics of these low turnouts (particularly what they say about potential student perceptions of SUSU) isn't great.
I'd love to see the results of these too. One of them I thought had the potential to really impact the student experience. The other...not so much. Given the relatively low turnouts even for the elections in March, I doubt either reached quoracy. I could be wrong though.
