Duke of Edinburgh Society

External Engagement

The Duke of Edinburgh Society is the principal way for university students to become affiliated with and complete their Duke of Edinburgh Award with Woolston and Weston Open Centre (WAWOC).

The Duke of Edinburgh Award is an achievement award for 14-25 year olds. The SUDofE Society aims to provide participants with the means to complete their Gold Duke of Edinburgh award. We have meetings on Thursday evenings to prepare for expeditions as well as hosting a range of socials throughout the year including Fresher’s Camp and a Christmas meal.

If you have already completed your Gold DofE you are also very welcome to join our society and you can get involved my helping with expeditions..
