About the role

Head of Membership & Community Engagement

In this position you will effect positive change through our membership engagement, to improve the quality of the experience our members enjoy at the University of Southampton.

You will manage the Membership & Community Engagement section with responsibility for Student Activities, Advice & Representation and Democracy departments which include volunteering, campaigning, policy and advice services.  Also focussing on democratic processes and our community engagement, you will join the existing Senior Leadership Team. 

Your role will be focussed around three core activities:

  • Voice - To ensure our representatives are supported and informed in order to effect change for the better for our members
  • Support - To devise and implement strategies to engage our members and enable them to create and sustain student-led activities
  • Communities - To develop support for student communities and partnerships with external organisations
