Have you registered to vote in the UK elections?

Hi Everyone – Ed here,

You’ve probably heard a million times that voting is important and we completely understand that the life of a student is incredibly busy, but it’s so important to ensure your voice is heard both on a local and national level.

Casting your vote holds significant weight and the process is as easy as possible. Politics dictates everything that affects your day-to-day life. Think of your student loan, any job prospects, and the world you want to live in. Voting is a major opportunity to shape your future.

There’s so much to unpack in politics, with many different parties with many different policies, but there are a lot of resources online designed to help you navigate and come to an informed decision on who you want to lead Government.

It’s easier than ever to register to vote, most places will let you register online in less time than it takes to choose a Netflix show. (see above video for extra emphasis on this 😉). To vote, you can either go to your local polling station or vote via post, whichever you prefer! Mark it in your calendar and if you’re voting by post, make sure you do not forget your deadlines!

Voting’s not just a right; it’s the best chance to tell the Government what you want, what you need and what you want to change. It couldn’t be any easier than it is now. So make sure you vote in the upcoming local and general elections!

You have until 16th April to register so visit: https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote
