Culture Festival

Culture Day was a big success with 320 sales and a fantastic turnout! There were four cultural dance performances and twelve society stalls – games, food and drinks were shared, and students could grab a free succulent plant for stopping by!

Holi had a great turnout with 203 box office sales! Attendees rated the event 4.5 stars.

Welsh Cake Making, students loved putting on their baker hats on to create delicious Welsh cakes! 

Sit & Eat – Despite a smaller kitchen to work in this year, societies worked in shifts and delivered a menu for 50 attendees!

Sinhala and Tamil New Year Event – Nearly 50 attendees got involved to experience the lobely atmosphere during Sinhala and Tamil New Year Event. A smoothly run event showcasing a range ofcultureal activities.

Anime and Manga’s Bunkasai –  Featuring a cosplay cafe, escape room, games room, plus arts and crafts, the Anime and Manga Bunkasai event drew a crowd of over 60 students who enjoyed the lovely atmosphere and variety of activities.

Aerial Sports in Collaboration with Art Society

There was an aerial life drawing session on 17 March delivered by Aerial Sports in collaboration with Art Society. And on 18 March, Winchester School of Arts students facilitated a life drawing session through our “Give It A Go programme”

Black Women’s Project

On 14 March, the Black Women’s Project ran a careers event featuring inspiring talks.

The Sumba Society ran two charity sessions supporting women’s charities,

Students enjoyed rollerskating to great tunes during our Easter Roller Disco – a fun-filled event with a great turnout!

Prayer for Peace

SUSU supported a student-led Prayer for Peace on 16 March, bringing 35 people together for a moment of unity, hope, and shared wishes on a Wishing Tree.

Jazz Dance: 1st place, Intermediate Squad & Best Costime @ Buckinhamshire New University

Contemporary Dance: 1st place, Inermediate Squad @ buckamshire New University

Women in Sport

There were 33 Give It A Go sessions overall and 29 clubs got involved to support Women in Sports Week!

BUCS Results for the Winter Season

269 WON and 46 DRAWN

Men’s Badminton progresses to the Premier Playoff after Easter, and Men’s Tennis won their Conference Cup Final in March!

We have supported 1780 students since September 2025 with academic, finance and housing issues.

Big changes to how students rent accommodation are coming 01 May 2026. Look out for housing focussed drop in’s following the changes.
