Why Me?

1. Continuity - I was LGBTQ+ Officer 2022-23, I've already picked up so many helpful skills to make me effective in the role. I'll hit the ground running and make progress immediately. I look forward to working collaboratively with SUSU to provide the best experience for students.

2. Success - Work I did last year for LGBTQ+ history month got recognised in Wonkhe's "SU campaigns that win"! I'll maintain this high standard as LGBTQ+ Officer this coming year.

3. Passion - I'm passionate about creating an LGBTQ+ community that is expansive, open and inclusive. I've worked time and time again to push back against challenges to this goal. My aim is to open up a broader, more accessible and diverse LGBTQ+ space here at the University. A space that caters to the needs and wants of the whole community.

4. Open-mindedness - I'm dedicated to dialogue and improved understanding. I've always been mindful to the nuanced complexity of LGBTQ+ issues and plan to centre my attention on communication, education and conversation.

5. Experience - I've shown dedication to LGBTQ+ issues throughout my life. I've involved with charities such as Mermaids, VIVA and ProudTrust. as LGBTQ+ Officer I'm committed to effective action and achieving outcomes that are a real benefit to the University and student-body as a whole.
