Hi everyone,

I hope you are all doing well and finding our courses exciting and rewarding. My name is Alisa and I appreciate the time you are taking to read through and consider my application for the role of Sustainability Officer of our year group.

Becoming a Sustainability Officer holds significant responsibility as my role would be to act as a liaison between us, the faculty, and the wider community. Ensuring that all of your concerns and interests related to sustainability are communicated and, more importantly, heard, is one of my major priorities. I understand the importance of being understood and having a chance to voice your opinions freely, therefore I promise to be an approachable and dedicated advocate for all of us. Our voices can make a change when change is needed.

Enhancing our academic experience through sustainable practices is something I take close to heart; I was a Course Representative throughout my school years as well as in Foundation Year at UoS so I can confidently say that I will look at any and all ideas and concerns with extra care and meticulous attention. We will be spending many years at university and I want to work with all of you to identify areas of improvement in sustainability and rapidly pursue the changes we all want to see. Our voices will be heard, represented, and supported.

Together we can make these courses not just something we need to complete, but a memorable, fun, enriching, and sustainable part of our lives:)
