Why vote for Erin Kirk?

I would be the ideal candidate for the role of Arts & Humanities Sustainability Representative for a multitude of reasons. I am dedicated to sustainability, promoting the importance of taking environmental responsibility. Within the department I hope to make sustainable changes and improve the education on sustainability to students. I would work closely with the department and students. I plan to have a weekly ‘office hour’ so that students can come to me with their own concerns/ideas. I am a good listener, will take everything on board, and work hard to enforce suggested changes. I would work on creating and sustaining a bridge between students and faculty to facilitate transparency so we can make changes together. I will advocate for environmentally friendly solutions and am already creating a list of issues and potential solutions. Initiatives I hope to enforce include (but not limited to!) promotion of cooperation between communities, supporting recycling schemes and energy improvements, with a focus on consumption and education. I understand the importance of this role and would love to see real change in the faculty!
