Why vote for Izzy?

I've been a course rep since I started at Southampton, and have really enjoyed representing my peers and making meaningful change to the department; I'd love to carry that on as president next year! I genuinely love the course here, so am passionate about helping it to run in the best way possible for the students. I have good working relationships with the department through my two years' experience as a rep in student-staff committee meetings; my input has already led to course changes based on your feedback. That's why I believe the best way to have a programme that represents the student body is by using the students' own feedback! My cohort will tell you how often I send out surveys (more than they'd like I'm sure...) but that's because I've found it's the most effective way to enact change that reflects our real opinions.

I can usually be found working somewhere on Avenue; I'm always available to speak to, or to respond to an email, be it about some feedback you might have or just for a chat! I'm really excited about carrying on the work I've been doing for the student body; at the moment I'm interested in developing a buddy system where younger years can informally chat to older ones about the course, be it assignment worries, module queries, or just for general support. I'm open to any suggestions you have for changes, and will represent you and your concerns faithfully to the department. Thank you!
