Why vote for Jacob?
Hi, I’m Jacob, a candidate for Social Sciences Faculty Officer. To be a candidate you must be deeply committed to student voice and the social science community; skills I have shown over the last two years, working in panels from “FSS Community Planning Event” to improving joint honours programmes.
As your Social Sciences Faculty Officer, I would make cross-school collaboration the focal point of my time in office. To achieve this, I will regularly bring student feedback to Faculty Education meetings to influence the direction of teaching in Social Sciences. To ensure that all voices are heard I will use my skills I have developed as a Student Co-Designer to gather and utilise feedback.
By the end of the year, I will be satisfied if every Social Sciences student feels like they voice has been listened to and considered in the choices made by the faculty. I will ensure that I will put the voices of students before my own and truly represent students to the best of my ability.
