Why vote for Sze?
In my time as a fellow human doing our best on this beautiful rock, my proudest achievement yet is being attentive. By being so, it has helped me realise the challenges of lacking workshop equipment during our scheduled laboratory sessions, particularly in terms of efficiency. That, and also having to move from one workshop to another during the IMechE Repeatable Vehicle Challenge so my team could have a workbench to assemble our car.
Furthermore, it does not escape me how many of our coursework tasks could have been paced more evenly throughout the 1st and 2nd semesters, so our poor souls wouldn't have to work endlessly as semester two comes around. Speaking of coursework, more dedicated study spaces in engineering buildings would certainly do no harm, so we wouldn’t have to scramble to find an available seat in the library during exam seasons.
With this, it would be a great pleasure to have the opportunity to serve as School of Engineering President and implement some changes to make our lives a little bit happier—both in university and on this precious rock.
