Aaron Arora - Economic, Social and Political Science School President

I am committed to improving the academic experience for all students at Southampton. A university journey should be both rewarding and challenging simultaneously, and I want to ensure that every student feels empowered, supported, and able to thrive. One of my priorities is enhancing access to resources and academic support. Whether through clearer guidance, more study materials, or greater awareness of existing services, I will work to make sure help is accessible to everyone when they need it most. I believe in listening actively and communicating effectively with both students and staff. As School President, I will make myself approachable and available, so your concerns and ideas are heard and acted upon. I believe that this is essential to tackling issues quickly and bridging any existing gaps between students and staff.

Organisation and reliability are at the heart of how I work on a day-to-day basis. I will encourage greater peer engagement by promoting collaboration, student-led initiatives, and opportunities to enable everyone to shape their academic environment. Above all, I want to create a culture of empowerment where every student feels confident to speak up, get involved, and make the most of their time in the School of Economic, Social, and Political Science at Southampton. With a proactive stance, I will ensure that your voice is represented when and where it matters most so that together we can create positive change to strengthen our community.
