Palak 'Palak' Goel - Student Councillor

I’m standing for the role of Student Councillor because I’m passionate about representing student voices and making sure our concerns are heard at every level of the university. I believe every student deserves to feel supported, included, and empowered during their time at Southampton.

If elected, I will focus on three main goals:

1. Strengthening communication between students and university leadership

2. Improving access to wellbeing and academic support services

3. Ensuring all voices – including international and minority groups – are represented fairly

I am a strong communicator, a great listener, and someone who takes initiative to find practical solutions. I’ll work hard to ensure student feedback is not only collected, but also acted upon, with regular updates to keep you informed.

I believe in transparency, inclusivity, and making real change through collaboration. I will use these values to guide every decision I make and will always be open to your ideas, questions, and concerns.
