Why vote for Harriet?

I am excited to nominate myself for Physiotherapy Department President. My background combines professional experience in sports therapy, event and project management, and customer advocacy. This has equipped me with strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills that I will bring to the role.

If elected, my priority would be to ensure that students’ voices are heard and considered. I would work to maintain clear communication between students and faculty on placements, curriculum, and wellbeing, while supporting an inclusive and collaborative environment. I am also keen to encourage opportunities for professional development, from workshops and mentoring to peer support, so that students feel prepared and confident for clinical practice.

I would like to celebrate student achievements and contribute to the department’s sense of community. Drawing on my experience leading teams and coordinating projects, I would aim to represent student interests in a practical, transparent, and approachable way.

Ultimately, I want to make a positive contribution to the student experience and support the smooth running of our department. I would be honoured to serve as Physiotherapy Department President and represent our cohort wherever I can.
