Key Points

  • I aim to make sure that every voice is heard.
  • I believe in replacing I with We.
  • I would host meetings for mental health problems
  • I want everyone to share their ideas and opinions
  • Increasing communication and giving everyone regular updates is my goal.

I have nominated myself to be the president of the art school, and I would focus on the following tasks. I would focus on building a fundamentally sound relationship between the university and its students.  In order to ensure that everyone gets all of their answers, I would try to spread the word about the updates generally and concentrate on improving the effectiveness of the one-on-one tutoring. Students have frequently told me that they are reluctant to go into the Student Guidance Centre when they need to talk to someone, therefore, I would focus on improving and making things more comfortable for them. In order to give students more confidence in their ability to use services freely in a safe and secure setting, I also want to look into the idea of shifting services around campus. In order to assist them network and make things simpler for their future careers, I encourage students from various course subjects to engage with one another more. Groups focusing on mental health and other requirements should hold once-a-monthly discussions where people in general gather in a room to discuss and talk about their opinions, make friends, and engage in networking. Make a buddy system for first-year students. In order to help first years ease their transition into university life, second and third years can choose to volunteer to be a resource for assistance and guidance. Encourage the development of relationships with nearby companies and experts to give students the contacts for future employment prospects.
