The climate and ecological crisis is worse than we feared, and the future is more uncertain than ever. The time to act is now… so let’s get prepared! 🔐

Come along to our Non-Violent Direct Action (NVDA) workshop, where you will learn about the history of Civil Disobedience, theories of Non-Violence, and various NVDA skills such as how to talk to the police, how to block a road, and how to use your support systems.

This workshop takes 5hrs, and includes a 15 minute break and 45 minutes for lunch – please arrive on time! There will be lots of information to learn, and interactive activities and roleplay.

We will either meet on Southampton Common, if the weather is nice, or in SUSU if there is bad weather or accessibility requirements and we will email an update on the location closer to the time. Either way, we will be in front of SUSU reception at 10am to walk to the room/common together. Please message the page if you have any questions or if there's anything we can do to make it easier for you to attend.

No prior knowledge is needed.
