SUPhil is a welcoming, inclusive choir; making up the student section of the Southampton Philharmonic Choir. The choir usually has around 150 members, with between 20 and 30 in the student section. We sing classical choral pieces and take part in 2-3 concerts a year. Rehearsals are Monday evenings from 7:30 - 9:30 at Turner Sims on Highfield Campus, and are led by a professional conductor. The mix of the two choirs gives a unique blend of youthful voices with those of more experienced singers. It also offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform major musical pieces with a large-scale ensemble, and with a full, professional orchestra and professional soloists.
