Philharmonic Choir
SUPhil is a welcoming, inclusive choir; making up the student section of the Southampton Philharmonic Choir. The choir has over 120 members, with around 20-30 students. We sing classical choral pieces and take part in 3 concerts a year. Rehearsals are Monday evenings from 7:30 - 9:30 at Turner Sims on Highfield Campus, and are led by our professional conductor Cole Bendall. The mix of the two choirs gives a unique blend of youthful voices with those of more experienced singers. It also offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform major musical pieces with a large-scale ensemble, and with a full, professional orchestra and professional soloists.

The Committee
All clubs and societies within the Students' Union are run entirely by students. The student committee for Philharmonic Choir this year are:
President
- Oversees the running of the society and liases with Southampton Philharmonic Choir committee.
Treasurer
- Responsible for the finances of the society.
Welfare Sec
- An approachable member of the committee who is there to support members should any issues arise.
Secretary and librarian
- Takes the rehearsal register and keeps track of score hires throughout the year as well as other admin jobs.
