Canoe
Although we are called 'Southampton University Canoe Club' we are in fact a group of whitewater kayakers! A growing and nationally successful club, SUCC accommodates anyone from people who have never kayaked before (which is how most people join us), to expert paddlers! We run weekly sessions on the river and in the pool, with trips every fortnight and at least one awesome social a week. If you have any questions at all please contact the committee by posting on our freshers Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/sucanoeclub.freshers.2324 Or on our club's facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/sucanoeclub/ Or via email: sucanoeclub@gmail.com (Questions are answered sooner when posted on the FB page rather than via email). Theres also loads of info on our website, www.canoe.susu.org. (this does have old/out of date things on)

We run pool sessions twice a week (Monday and Thursday 9 pm-10 pm at the Jubilee Sports center) where we coach you on everything you could possibly need to know. As well as river sessions on Wednesday afternoons at the Water Sports Center Near Wessex Lane Halls. If that wasn't enough we also run weekend river trips away all over the country fortnightly.
The best way to keep up to date with the club is by joining the freshers facebook page: (www.facebook.com/groups/sucanoeclub.freshers.2324)
You can also follow our instagram @sotonuni_canoeclub. And you can email us on sucanoeclub@gmail.com as well. If you're interested in what we do as a club, check out our photo gallery below, have a look at the facebook page, or visit our website, www.canoe.susu.org .

Year Membership | £60.00 | 23/09/2023 - 20/09/2024 | The canoe club is one of the most active in the university and has a great social atmosphere if you're not planning on getting wet every week - there really is something for everyone! We run weekly pool and river sessions in Southampton, as well as fortnightly white water kayaking trips to some of the best rivers in the UK (unfortunately there is a small extra cost for these). Membership includes all the training sessions and use of our equipment. We welcome members with any level of experience - most of us have either never been in a boat before or have only been on the water on school activity days! With membership we will help you learn how to kayak, providing advice, help, equipment, friendship and great nights out along the way! | |
