Farm Africa Society

External Engagement

Our society aims to support the work of Farm Africa through fundraising and educating others. Farm Africa is a charity which works to create permanent solutions to end hunger. They don’t give handouts, they help farmers help themselves. They provide the seeds, tools, and expertise that help rural farmers in eastern Africa to double or triple their yields, whether they are growing crops, farming livestock and fish, or earning a living from forest products.

The money raised by this society will not be delivering a short-term ‘quick fix’. Instead, it will be delivering long-term sustainable solutions, helping farming families end hunger, for good..

Physics Society

Departmental

Physoc is a society primarily concerned with the welfare of all physics undergraduates at the University of Southampton, though our doors are open to all who apply. We organise academic & careers talks, socials (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic), sports events, outreach programmes and more, in order to ensure that our members enjoy and make the most of their time at university. Our society is not confined to undergraduates, but includes postgrads, post-docs, and staff.
