HOMED

External Engagement

HOMED is a student network which supports homeless people living in Southampton. We believe that people who do not have access to a safe and secure home face violations of a wide range of human rights.

As students, we have a responsibility to be part of the movement for a better future for those without homes in the UK. What do we do • Educate students about homelessness and its associated injustices • Challenge prejudice and stereotypes associated with those without a home • Volunteer in local homeless projects HOMED allows students who may not have much experience in the field of homelessness to understand why people may become homeless and what challenges they face in our society. .
