The University of Southampton Sinfonietta (Sinf) is the university's only chamber music ensemble that allows members to experience working with a different professional conductor each term.

Run entirely by students, it has quickly developed an outstanding reputation for performing high quality music that covers a wide range of repertoire, and collaborating with musicians from the Royal College of Music, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, and London Philharmonic Orchestra.

The orchestra is made up of some of the university's most talented musicians who work with the professional conductor Jonathan Lo, who is the overseeing musical director of the orchestra.

Performing a minimum of three concerts a year within the first four weeks of each term, Sinfonietta produces music of the highest possible standard following intensive rehearsal periods. .
