The Committee

All clubs and societies within the Students' Union are run entirely by students. The student committee for Somali Society this year are:

Hanan Roble
President
  • The President of the Somali Society leads the committee, oversees all activities, and represents the society within the university and wider community.
Maryam Roble
Treasurer
  • As Treasurer of the Somali Society, I oversee the society’s finances, including budgeting, managing expenses, and ensuring funds are used effectively for events and initiatives. I also help support the planning and delivery of engaging cultural, social, and charitable activities for members.
Qamar Sadiq
Vice President
  • The Vice President of the Somali Society supports the President, helps organise events, and ensures the smooth running of the society.

  • The Events Secretary of the Somali Society plans, organises, and coordinates events to engage members and celebrate Somali culture.
