Sociology, Social Policy and Criminology Society

Welcome to the University of Southampton SSPC Society! Our society focuses on bringing together students with an interest in Sociology, Social Policy, and Criminology! But you don’t have to be on one of these degrees to join us. If you have a passion for criminal justice and understanding the social world, then this society is definitely for you. We are all about building an inclusive community where everyone can feel welcome, meet new people and share their passions. We work hard to offer events that everyone will enjoy! Throughout each year, we run a wide range of events, from guest speaker evenings and documentary nights, to relaxed socials, pub trips and criminology-themed nights out. For those who prefer something more low-key, we also host drop-in sessions and casual get-togethers, which are perfect for making friends and having a chat with people with similar interests to you. Whether you’re keen to expand your knowledge, make new connections, or just have some fun, the SSPC Society has something for you. Come along and get involved- we can’t wait to meet you!
