Football (Ladies)
Southampton University Ladies Football Club (SULFC) is a fun, inclusive, and dynamic club that welcomes players of all abilities. Whether you’re a seasoned player or completely new to the game, we have three teams to ensure everyone has the opportunity to get involved and enjoy football at a level that suits them. ⚽ What We Offer:
1st (Western Tier 1A) & 2nd Team (Western Tier 3A)
Training: Mondays, 18:30–20:00 with coaches from Southampton FC
Matches: BUCS League games on Wednesdays
Trials for 1s and 2s will take place in the first week of term.
Sunday League Team (3rd Team - Hampshire League Division 5)
Training: Tuesdays, 18:30–20:00 at Wide Lane
Matches: Local League games on Sundays
Open to all abilities - ideal for those looking to play in a friendly, relaxed environment.
5-a-Side Football and Fitness Sessions
Both take place on a Friday Evening. Fitness at Wide Lane and 5-a-side at Goals Southampton.
🎉 Socials
Our weekly Wednesday night socials are a huge part of the SULFC experience. We host a mix of drinking and non-drinking socials, making sure there’s something for everyone. Whether it's a themed night out or chilled activities, our socials are always a highlight!

SULFC isn’t just about football, each year we host a range of unforgettable events, including:
Christmas Dinner – A festive evening to celebrate the first half of the season.
Varsity – The ultimate showdown against Portsmouth.
Tour – A legendary trip abroad.
End-of-Year celebration – An evening to recognise team and individual achievements and say goodbye to our leavers.

The Committee
All clubs and societies within the Students' Union are run entirely by students. The student committee for Football (Ladies) this year are:
President
- Overall responsibility for the Student Group
Treasurer
- Handles keeping an eye on subs being payed, applying for grants and making sure the club remains viable
Welfare Officer
- To be available at all times for any members to confide in them about any problems they are experiencing club related or outside of the club
1st Team Captain
- Is responsible for choosing the 1st team and working with the coach to ensure training and game days run smoothly
2nd Team Captain
- Is responsible for choosing the 2nd team and working with the coach to ensure training and game days run smoothly
3rd Team Captain
- Runs Sunday league games and helps encourage players of all abilities to get involved in the club
5-a-side Captain
- Organises 5-a-side games and transport to and from the games whilst encouraging everyone to get involved in 5-a-side
Fitness Secretary
- Responsible for organising and running weekly fitness sessions open to players from all teams. Should discuss goals and areas of weakness with the 1s and 2s captains to structure sessions.
Kit Secretary
- Creates the merchandise which will be available to purchase for members and helps with designing any new football kit for the three teams
Secretary
- Records minutes at committee meetings and organises refs and transport for football matches
Social Media Secretary
- Posts regularly on social media to encourage members to join and to keep everyone up to date on our progress

- Organises weekly socials, including games and themes which everyone will enjoy

Tour Secretary
- Liaises with companies to find the best place and deals for our club to go abroad for a week together

- Supports the president in order to deliver against the groups aims
Membership Information
These are the current membership fees offered by Football (Ladies), although many clubs and societies offer a free period for new members to try out their activities.
