Netball

Welcome to SUNC! Southampton University Netball Club has four teams competing in the BUCS Western Conference League. We pride ourselves on the high standard of netball we play and the girls' commitment to the club. Our experienced committee helps run the club, and if you have any questions please feel free to contact one of us below.

We have four BUCS teams that compete weekly on Wednesdays against other universities across the country. These teams are split into two squads:

Squad 1 (1st and 2nd teams) – training on Monday evenings (8:00–10:00pm)

Squad 2 (3rd and 4th teams) – training on Thursday evenings (8:30–10:00pm)

All BUCS teams are coached by experienced external coaches, and we pride ourselves on both our competitive success and our supportive team environment.

For those who want to enjoy netball in a more relaxed setting, we run an IntraMural (IM) squad that plays friendly matches against other societies within the University on Sundays. The IM team is coached internally by dedicated committee members and other club volunteers.

To support our performance and keep our teams in top condition, we run compulsory fitness sessions twice a week, on Tuesday and Friday mornings—members can choose which suits their schedule.

Off the court, SUNC has an unbeatable social side. Every Wednesday night we host themed socials that are fun, inclusive, and a great way to celebrate game day together. We also organise sober socials, team bonding events, charity fundraisers, a festive club Christmas celebration, and a special end-of-season event to wrap up the year in style.

Whether you’re here to compete, stay active, or just make friends for life—SUNC is the perfect club to be part of your university journey. Come join the family!
