The Edge

The Edge is Southampton's award-winning entertainment magazine, run solely by students at the university. We cover everything cultural, from Film to TV, Theatre to Live Music, Comedy to Records! Amazing opportunities include attending events for free, interviewing the stars and getting advanced copies of films and albums.

It's easy to get involved and there's no quota; don't be afraid to make contact and throw yourself in! A small history lesson: The Edge was created in 1995 as an insert in the Wessex Scene, and in the 2011/12 year we broke away to become an independent publication.

2014 saw us win Best Design at the Student Publication Awards, with the magazine receives extensive nominations ever since.

The Edge underwent a complete rebrand in Summer 2017, accompanied by a new print design..
