Wild Swimming society
The Southampton University Wild Swimming society (SUWS) is an inclusive society where we can all share a love for adventure, spending time in beautiful outdoor locations, and immersing ourselves in nature's waters. The society organizes regular trips to our local wild swimming locations and exciting adventures to more picturesque destinations further afield. Besides the profound positive impact on our physical and mental health that comes with wild swimming, SUWS offers a thrilling and sociable way to immerse in nature.
The Committee
All clubs and societies within the Students' Union are run entirely by students. The student committee for Wild Swimming society this year are:
President
- In charge of overseeing all club activities, making sure everything is running smooth and implementing wild swim psych and good vibes
Treasurer
- in charge of applying for grants and managing the clubs money
Safety Officer
- In charge of setting and implementing safety procedures for swims, as well as maintaining and replacing any club safety equipment
Welfare Officer
- In charge of resolving any welfare issues within the club
Communications Officer
- In charge of maintaining the clubs social media presence, and good communication within the club
Secretary / Vice President
- In charge of helping the President when needed, and helping organise the larger swim trips
Social Secretary
- In charge of organising a range of socials on a regular basis

Membership Information
These are the current membership fees offered by Wild Swimming society, although many clubs and societies offer a free period for new members to try out their activities.
