About Me

Hi! I’m Sparkle (she/her), and I’m your Vice President of Community for the 2025/26 academic year.

Before starting this role, I was a Marketing Analysis student at Southampton Business School. My academic background includes undergraduate study experiences in China and the Czech Republic.

I am passionate about Chinese traditional music and play the pipa. I am an active member of the University Folk Music Group and a sports enthusiast who also plays Roundnet.

As your VP Community, I’m committed to promoting anti-fraud awareness and fostering a stronger campus community. My vision is to create a warm, inclusive environment where international students feel at home, and where every student can shine in their own area of strength through clubs, societies, and performances.

What do you do as VP Community?

My role is to enrich the student experience by enhancing community spirit.
I aim to organise a university-wide talent competition that gives all societies the chance to shine.

I also work to expand community activities, support more musical performances, and build a more inclusive campus culture where international students feel connected and engaged.

At the same time, I push for anti-fraud awareness campaigns to protect students and keep our community safe.
