What is Re-Open Nominations aka RON?!

RON is the option for voters to choose when voting for a specific position in an election if there is no candidate that they prefer (or no further candidate they wish to choose after selecting their main preference)

If RON "wins" an election for a specific position then we have to hold the election for that role again in the future. Any of the unsuccesful candidates for that role can stand again - if they nominate themselves - as well as any new people who may wish to stand. RON will still be a candidate in the new election
