SUSU has an exciting opportunity for students to gain valuable experience in market research by taking advantage of a new initiative from the Students’ Union.

The Go Out And Talk scheme will offer students the opportunity to engage in an effective consultation process with other students about all aspects of university life. The project will encourage students to talk to other students about how they feel the University or the Students’ Union could improve the university experience.

Each month, we will focus on a different aspect of the university experience. The Go Out And Talk team will be tasked with collecting the valuable information from students that can help us improve the university experience.

This role is a voluntary position and we estimate that the role will take about two hours per week. You can undertake the consultation at any of the university’s locations and you can collect as much student feedback as you like.

We will offer students the chance to earn badges for their LinkedIn page as part of the Union’s STRIVE scheme. Our mission within this scheme is to make sure that your volunteering accomplishments and experience are recognised in a legitimate way and can be showcased to prospective employers, therefore enhancing your future employability.

You will have an opportunity to work with a small group of peers, you will be supported by the project team and Student’s Union.

This is a great opportunity to develop important skill sets and to work on an initiative across the university and Students Union to gain important insights to higher education working.

We are looking for volunteers who are passionate about improving the University experience for all. If you are well organised, have excellent communication skills, are good at working with others and can evidence success in seeing projects through to completion this could be a good opportunity for you.

The project is currently running until to the end of the Academic year 2019 in the first instance. Successful applicants will commence the role at an agreed time shortly after interviews.
