Commercial Admin Assistant

£17,682 to £18,709 pro rata, subject to experience - 30 hours per week - permanent position 

 

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual wishing to become a Commercial Admin Assistant with The University of Southampton Students’ Union. The role is based at the Students’ Union on the Highfield Campus, University of Southampton.

 

The Role

In this role you will be part of the Commercial team supporting the team by providing efficient and accurate working practices.  You will be responsible for the maintenance of multiple databases which include stock, purchasing, allergen information and staff scheduling systems.  You will also be able to provide accurate strong financial performance data in commercial food and beverage outlets.  This role is integral in supporting Managers in their understanding of the commercial team's performance ensuring that plans and strategies are delivered upon. 

 

About You

You should hold relevant and demonstrable experience of working successfully in an office environment.. You should have excellent IT, admin, and organisational skills, with good working knowledge of databases and be able manage your own time with minimal supervision. It's also essential that you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to be reflected in written, telephone, and face-to-face contact with colleagues, and the wider team.  You can find the full Person Specification within the Role Profile attached.
