 Salary based on SUSU's Pay Band E with a full-time equivalent salary of £27,786 to £30,346 subject to experience.

35 hours per week.

The Role

As a the Events Manager at SUSU, you'll be working to plan and deliver a varied events and entertainments offer for our students to a high standard, in an accessible, safe, and sustainable way. You'll offer professional support for the delivery of student-led events, and actively seek partnerships with the wider Southampton community to create opportunities. You'll ensure that risk assessments are completed and all event activity is delivered safely and in line with any applicable legislation/regulations and with our SUSU values. You will also be expected to work as Duty Manager on specified duty manager shifts. 

About You

You should have demonstrable experience in the successful planning, promoting and running of a variety of events, preferrably including experience in the late-night entertainment and Youth sector. It's essential that you also have experience of completing risk assessments and an understanding of health and safety issues that may occur with events. You'll need excellent planning skills and be able to budget for events effectively. You'll also have a passion for music and the trends in the entertainments industry, and be able to manage and motivate a team to deliver high standards.
